Nicholas Prosser is the sole director of his company Shooting Match Ltd., which represents his interests as a freelance director and producer. With this company, Nicholas also independently creates, develops and produces projects, both for the media and corporate markets as well as a variety of training programmes.
Nicholas is an experienced screen director with more than 400 credits in broadcast television period and contemporary drama series, shooting on super 16mm film and video, using both single and multi-camera techniques, on location and in studio. He has additional director credits in television broadcast factual programmes as well as the corporate video sector.

Nicholas began in theatre stage management, transferring to television in the same capacity for a year before ten years as a floor manager (senior grade) and first assistant director, before promotion to producer and director.

As a guest lecturer, Nicholas has supplied courses, workshops and lectures for several universities, colleges, schools and groups. For The Directors’ Guild of G.B., he provided a seminar on directing serials. He was a Director mentor on EASTENDERS, EMMERDALE and BROOKSIDE. In the Asian state of Kazakhstan, he was the director representative of a UK training mentor team, supported by the British government foreign office, to prepare this ex-Soviet state for its first television drama in 1995.
