Spent time abroad with those so dear, I heard “How’ya” and “All systems go”.
Oceans and seas we crossed to see them in Dublin and in cold Chicago.
Time now to apply the handbrake, slow down, for life is not a race.
My Yuletide season of travel is over, it’s time for me to return to base.
Back to old routines, plan new projects and catch up with those close by,
It’s great to go travelling but good to be home you may just hear me sigh.
